The Donald Trump administration has dismissed U.S. Coast Guard Commandant Admiral Linda Lee Fagan, the first female uniformed leader of an armed forces branch, according to a U.S. official’s statement to Reuters on Tuesday.
Fox News, which initially reported the dismissal, stated that Acting Homeland Security Secretary Benjamine Huffman had terminated Fagan, accusing her of prioritizing diversity issues over border security.
