DoorDash Driver Captures Unexpected Photobomber in Proof of Delivery Pic

A message confirming a DoorDash order was delivered left social media viewers in stitches after the picture revealed a surprise.

Deliveries often require the drivers to snap a picture when they drop off a package or, in this case, a food order. The photo proves it was delivered and where the driver left the item. Luckily, one couple had another set of eyes confirming that their food had been delivered.

In the Monday TikTok video, which was posted by @_its_me_nat, Indy the Australian shepherd was getting as close as he could to the delivery. Luckily, the front door has a perfect spot for him to park his body, look out the window and act as a second confirmation for the delivery.

The photo the DoorDash driver took showed Indy’s hilarious face, which he made while taking his position. His eyes showed how serious he was about getting the right delivery.

“When I first saw the photo, I laughed so hard,” the dog’s owner told Newsweek via TikTok. “My boyfriend was the one who received it and showed it to me instantly. Indy makes a lot of funny faces, but that was something different and unexpected.”

She said this photo is a perfect example of how silly Indy acts.

‘What We All Do’

The hilarious TikTok clip quickly reached over 3 million views, 845,800 likes and 1,281 comments.

“When eye contact is your love language,” commented one viewer.

Another wrote: “She did what we all do behind the door.”

Even the official TikTok account for DoorDash commented: “Indy is a vibe.”

Dog vs. Delivery Drivers

Indy kept his eyes locked on the delivery process, but other dogs aren’t so easygoing when a mail carrier comes to the door. They’ll bark and warn those coming near their home. It is in their nature to protect. Some dog breeds are known to be a little more territorial than others.

Owners who find this barking behavior to be a problem can try several solutions to break the habit or at least keep it from forming in the first place. The American Kennel Club suggests introducing your dog to the neighborhood postal worker. If that is not possible, any early socialization can help improve a dog’s reaction to strangers.

Pet parents should also train their dogs by teaching them commands such as “sit” and “wait.” Others might want to give their dogs a task when someone comes to the house. That way they go to a different area in the house and owners avoid a chaotic nightmare.

It’s important to avoid yelling or otherwise responding when your dog barks because it will see that as a reward. Dogs should be rewarded with quiet and positive behavior.
