Drew Brees To Become Full-Time NFL Game Analyst At Major Network
Drew Brees is widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL. He didn’t have the prototypical size and frame of the great quarterbacks, but it was his cerebral ability that separated him from many other guys.
He has used that high football IQ to give him roles in his post-playing days as an analyst for outlets such as NBC.
However, as the Athletic reported, he will be moving into a new job as a full-time NFL Game analyst at Fox, and will be starting in Week 11.
According to the report, his contract will go through at least the 2026 season, and he will be in the booth with play-by-play guy Adam Amin.
Amin started the season out with Mark Sanchez as his broadcast partner, but Sanchez hasn’t worked a game since he was stabbed in Indianapolis earlier in the season. He was later arrested for battery.

During his NFL career, Brees finished second all-time in passing yards (80,350), second in touchdowns (571) and completions (7,142), trailing only Tom Brady in all three of those stats. He will also be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2026.
Brees isn’t brand new to being on a broadcast, as he was on the Netflix international feed last year for the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is scheduled to be on the Netflix game this season between the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions.
He has also been doing some work with Fox this season, as he has also been involved with their studio coverage.
Brees’ knowledge for the game figures to make him very appealing to NFL fans when it comes to him being on the broadcast. His ability to decipher what a defense is in as well as how to attack them should allow him to really thrive in this role.
