Driver Gets Hilarious Revenge on Man Purposely Blocking Line at Gas Station

A driver’s patience was tested at a gas station when two men deliberately delayed a long line of cars, laughing as they ignored the frustrated motorists.

Weeks later, one of them found himself on the receiving end of an elaborate act of revenge, at the hands of a Reddit user who declared this week that, “Actions have consequences!”

Details Noted

Original poster (OP) user Welsh__dresser recalled an inconsiderate tradesman’s behavior at a busy gas station. While waiting for a pump, they watched as a van driver and his friend stood chatting, intentionally holding up multiple cars while laughing at the inconvenience they were causing.

The driver took note of the van’s business details, which were prominently displayed on the vehicle.

Weeks later, they called the plasterer pretending to need a full-house renovation, arranging several appointments at an abandoned property. Each time, the tradesman showed up, only to find no one there.

After several wasted trips and growing frustration, the OP finally answered his calls, apologizing profusely and then delivering the punchline: They compared his experience to the gas station incident.

‘Raging and swearing’

“I heard the penny drop! That was when the raging and swearing started, which just set me off roaring with laughter,” the OP told Redditors.

“I made my point, it was fabulous. I spent the next few weeks blocking various numbers sending abusive texts, but he got bored of that eventually.”

Reddit users were quick to praise the driver’s creativity. One commentator wrote, “I’ll never understand why people with name and number of their business on side of vehicles aren’t better behaved.”

Another user agreed, “This guy really didn’t [care] about anyone’s day but his own, which is why this revenge is so perfect.”

The story fits within a growing trend of online “petty revenge” tales that celebrate everyday people getting back at rude or inconsiderate behavior in creative ways.

Similar incidents have surfaced across social media, where minor injustices are met with clever retaliation.

The Rise of Social Frustration

According to Newsweek, stories of revenge against rude behavior often go viral, with many readers finding satisfaction in seeing inconsiderate actions receive their due consequences.

Public accountability, whether through direct confrontation or subtle tricks, is often a major theme.

While humorous, incidents like the one described by the OP point to a broader issue: A rise in social frustration and declining public courtesy.

A report from LinkedIn explores why people seem more impatient and inconsiderate in daily interactions.

Factors such as stress, social media outrage culture and increased anonymity in modern life contribute to growing tensions in public spaces.

‘Next time’

Many users chipped in with their own revenge tips for the OP, such as the user who said: I would be posting those texts on a review for his business. Show everyone how he badly he behaves.”

The OP replied: “I didn’t think of that at the time! But the idea is banked for the next time!”
