Ex-Prince Andrew Arrested on His Birthday on Suspicion of Misconduct—Report

Police have arrested Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the former prince, on suspicion of misconduct in public office, the BBC reports.

Several police cars and officers arrived at Wood Farm at his home on the royal Sandringham estate, photos published by the Daily Telegraph and Metro showed.

Officers arrived shortly after 8 a.m. local time (3 a.m. ET) on Thursday—Mountbatten-Windsor’s 66th birthday—the outlets said.

The latest Jeffrey Epstein files to be released appear to show the former prince forwarded sensitive information to the convicted sex offender. Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing.

This is a breaking story; updates to follow.
