Fan-Favorite WWE Superstar Hints at In-Ring Return
While the WWE Women’s division is stronger than ever, multiple beloved wrestlers are currently missing from action.
This includes Charlotte Flair, who is currently recovering from knee surgery, and Becky Lynch, who is taking a break to spend time with her daughter.
Another popular WWE Superstar missing from the squared circle is Alexa Bliss, who has been missing since the 2023 Royal Rumble.
Now, it looks like the Goddess of WWE is ready to make her in-ring return.
In a recent post on Instagram, Bliss cryptically hinted at a potential in-ring return in the near future accompanied by a black and white photo of the popular wrestler.
“Don’t worry, Darling. I’ll see you soon enough,” Bliss said, ending the comment with a black heart.
Bliss has been gone for over a year-and-a-half due to multiple reasons, including having surgery to remove skin cancer and the birth of her daughter with husband Ryan Cabrerra.
Fans are particularly rabid for Bliss to come back, especially since the tragic passing of her in-ring partner Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) and the debut of the Wyatt Sick6.
Bliss has previously promised an in-ring return during an interview with The Messenger, noting that time away can be a good thing.
“Time away and reinventing a character, and evolving yourself is the key to career longevity at WWE,” Bliss said. “So I always say time away is such a good thing because it gives people the time to miss you.”
“When you’re being seen on WWE [TV] three or four times an episode, you don’t really have anywhere to go with your character. So whenever you take time off, it’s always a good time to evolve and to keep going.”
Bliss joined WWE with a developmental contract in 2013, making her first televised appearance on the July 24 episode of NXT.
While she wouldn’t earn any championships on the developmental brand, she would go on to be one of the most popular wrestlers on the main roster, winning five world titles, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship three times, and the 2018 Women’s Money in the Bank. She is the second WWE Women’s Triple Crown champion.
Some of Bliss’ most popular stories have been her teaming up with Nikki Cross as a formidable tag team, her alliance with “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, and her relationship with the demonic doll Lilly.
Bliss has also appeared on numerous television programs, including as the Axolotl on The Masked Singer (2019-present).
