Fans React to Former Cowboys RB Herschel Walker Naming Wrong Candidate at Trump Rally

Former Dallas Cowboys running back Herschel Walker is a well-known Republican and has been in support of Donald Trump since his first presidency. So, it was not at all shocking that Walker appeared at a rally to support the hopeful president to ask voters to hit the polls in favor of Trump.

Walker and Trump are clearly fans of one another, as the former NFL player was jokingly referred to the one being in charge of the “missile shield” that Trump explained at a recent rally.

“We will build a missile defense shield … We’ll put Herschel Walker in charge of that little sucker,” Trump stated.

Walker has since been appearing at rallies to support Trump, and despite his attempts to rally the voters and the crowd he was speaking to at a rally, he mistakingly referred to Donald Trump as Donald Trump Jr.

In his closing statements, Walker stated, “It is time for it to stop, and it stops on Tuesday when we get to the polls and we vote for my friend and your friend Donald Trump Jr.”

Walker immediately attempted to pivot and state the correct name but began to ramble. He also left the podium very quickly after having difficulties saying the correct name.

Naturally, fans on X have since called out Walker for the odd name confusion.

“Herschel Walker: “Vote for my friend and your friend Donald Trump Junior. Donald Trump. Jonald J. Trump” 🤣🤣🤡”

“Bringing back Herschel Walker is the kind of s*** I would do if I were trying to lose an election but what do I know.”

“Earlier today in Macon, Georgia Herschel Walker reminded all MAGA Republicans to vote for his good friend Donald Trump Jr. Great advice, Republicans write that name on your ballots. #Election2024”

Additional replies on X from fans stated:

“Came in all the way from Texas for his good buddy, Junior.”

“Yeah, please vote for Johnna J Trump Jr. 🤣😂”

Walker may have been trying to hype up the crowd, but mistakingly referring to Donald Trump as his son went viral immediately.

The rallies might be over for the election, as Americans are now set to flood the polls to vote for their preferred candidate. If any voter wants to ensure that Donald Trump is the next president, make sure not to write in Donald Trump Jr., as that will be a vote for the former president’s son.
