Johnson started the night out but struggled out of the gate. The Nets forward finished the round with a score of 14 and was swiftly eliminated.

Garland followed that up and scored 24, ending his round on a strong note. Cunningham was making his All-Star debut and had a slow start, scoring 16.

Powell was up next and scored 14, tying him with Johnson. Next up was Herro and he was solid, posting 19 points.

Brunson was after Herro, scoring 18 points in the contest. Hield was next, dropping 31 points in the round.

Finally, the two-time defending champion of the event, Lillard scored 18 points and was eliminated from the contest. With Lillard being eliminated, it was assured that fans in San Francisco would see a new champion crowned for the first time in three years.

Herro, Hield, and Garland all advanced to the next round.

The Heat All-Star started things off and posted 24 points. Garland took the stage next and put up a dud of a performance.

Hield finished the event off but couldn’t get the job done. The Warriors wing almost made an epic comeback but fell just short in his final rack.

Herro was named the champion of the event. Herro became the first Heat player to win the event since 2011.

As always, NBA world had a field day reacting to the event.

All in all, it was a good event for the NBA, as fans were able to see some great shooting performances. The 3-point shot has become a staple of the league over the past few years so this event was certain to entertain everyone.
