Florida Man Arrested for Trespassing at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Estate

A former real estate agent was arrested for trespassing after jumping over a wall at President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, authorities said.

Bijan Ty Arceo, 32, of Sunny Isles, Florida, was busted at about 6 p.m. Wednesday when Palm Beach police responded to the Ocean Boulevard property to assist the United States Secret Service with an unauthorized person on the property.

Officers took Arceo into custody after he “jumped over a wall” that surrounds Mar-a-Lago, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Newsweek.

Arceo, who was previously licensed as a real estate broker in Colorado, gained access to the property via South Ocean Boulevard near a north service gate. Secret Service agency confirmed that he did not have permission to access the protected site, the affidavit states.

Trump’s sprawling estate has numerous “no trespassing” signs posted along its perimeter, as well as tall gates that typically remain closed, Palm Beach police noted in the affidavit.

Secret Service agents said they spotted Arceo climbing over a wall just south of a closed gate with a “no trespassing sign,” police said.

Attempts to reach Arceo or his court-appointed attorney were unsuccessful early Friday. He pleaded not guilty to trespassing with the intent to commit an offense during his first court appearance Thursday and was ordered held on $20,000 bond by Judge Ashley Zuckerman.

Arceo was also ordered to have no contact with Trump, his Mar-a-Lago estate or any federal restricted area, court records show.

Secret Service officials said Arceo was “immediately detained” after breaching an outer fence at the club.

“While the incident had no impact on our protective operations, we take these matters extremely seriously,” the agency said in a statement to Newsweek.

Arceo was released from custody late Thursday, with his next court appearance scheduled for January 30, jail and court records show. He previously worked as a real estate broker in Colorado, where he was licensed from 2016 through 2019, according to online records.

The Secret Service designated Mar-a-Lago a federally protected area in July after the attempted assassination of Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. To enter the protected area, all visitors must be screened at a security zone, according to the probable cause affidavit. Trump, who was inaugurated on Monday, was in Washington at the time of the incident.

Arceo, who has prior ties to Los Angeles, Denver and Superior, Colorado, considers shamanism among his interests, his Facebook profile shows.

“Dive deep into your Shadow to awaken to your inner most [sic] truth,” the profile reads.
