Former NASCAR Driver Labels Democratic Party ‘Evil’ After First Ever Vote

Danica Patrick, a former NASCAR driver with a strong career in motor racing, recently made a political statement while speaking at a Donald Trump rally in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

During her speech, Patrick framed the 2024 election as a battle between ‘good’ and ‘evil.’

“We’re not living in a time of Republican versus Democrat, we’re living in good vs. evil,” Patrick declared during a rally on Sunday. “We’re living in right vs. wrong. And I want to be on the right side of that history because this is the most important decision we will see in our life – getting Donald Trump into office.”

Patrick previously revealed that, at 42 years old, she voted for the first time in her life this year. Initially a supporter of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., she eventually shifted her endorsement to Trump. Kennedy, known for his controversial anti-vaccine stance and run as an independent candidate, initially attracted Patrick’s interest before she found alignment with Trump’s vision.

As previously reported by Newsweek Sports, Patrick said the following:

“I just want to say I’ve never voted before, but this time around, I have to vote. It’s that important.

“The person that runs this country should ultimately be running it very much like a business. I can’t really think of a better businessman than Donald Trump,” Patrick admitted.

“A guy like that who has been in business as long as he has, he’s gonna go into that room and he’s gonna get stuff done. That’s what we need, a president who is actually going to make changes happen.”

Apart from her voting history, Patrick shared her perspective on the politicization of patriotism in the United States. She lamented the current societal interpretation of expressions like waving an American flag or wearing patriotic clothing as political statements.

“I want to live in a country where I can say ‘I love this country’ and I’m not making a political stand,” she said. Patrick continued, recalling a memory from her youth.

“If I wore that today, I’d be making a political stand. Why is that happening? Why is that not just being an American?” she questioned.

The rally, held in the town of Lititz in Lancaster County, saw from other figures such as Sage Steele, a sports television personality known for her outspoken views, and Lara Trump, a key player in Donald Trump’s campaign.

As a successful female driver in the predominantly male world of motorsports, her endorsement could attract a new demographic to Trump’s reelection effort. Her involvement reflects a growing trend where celebrities leverage their public following to influence and mobilize support. We’ve seen a similar story with Harrison Ford, usually quiet about his political affiliation, recently releasing a video in support of Kamala Harris.

The last day to vote in the 2024 US presidential election is Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Note that many states will allow postmarked mail ballots to be received several days later, and some voters will be able to fix any errors with their ballots.
