Former WWE and AEW wrestler Bobby Fish has shared some difficult news regarding his health and personal life. In a candid social media post, Fish revealed he recently suffered an injury and is currently without health insurance.
Taking to Instagram, Fish opened up about the challenges he is currently facing. He detailed the injury, which occurred during a recent wrestling show.
“Not gonna sugarcoat it — life’s been rough lately. Got injured at a show, pulled hamstring, no health insurance, going through some personal stuff,” Fish wrote.
Despite these hardships, Fish stated that he is not looking for sympathy or financial handouts. Instead, he announced that he is pivoting his focus towards launching a new YouTube channel. He sees the platform as an opportunity to connect with fans in a new way and continue contributing to the wrestling business he loves.
“I still love this business, and I want to keep giving you something real. Stories, training, laughs, whatever I can bring,” he explained.
Bobby Fish had a notable run in WWE from 2017 to 2021 as a member of the dominant Undisputed Era faction in NXT. Alongside Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong, he captured the NXT Tag Team Championships on two occasions.

Following his WWE release in August 2021, Fish signed with AEW in October of that same year. His tenure with Tony Khan’s promotion lasted less than a year, as his contract expired and was not renewed in August 2022. He made a return to Major League Wrestling (MLW) in 2024.

Fish’s announcement highlights the precarious nature of life as a professional wrestler, particularly regarding health insurance and financial stability outside of major contracts. While he navigates these challenges, he remains determined to entertain fans through his new digital venture.
While Fish is dealing with his injury and launching his YouTube channel, his former Undisputed Era stablemates continue to make waves in AEW. Adam Cole is currently sidelined with a long-term injury, Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly recently returned to action.
