Giants Linked to Elite Long-Term Weapon for Jaxson Dart

The New York Giants are fresh off of a horrible collapse in the fourth quarter against the Denver Broncos in Week 7 NFL action. Despite holding an 18-point lead with just six minutes to go, Jaxson Dart and company fell apart and ended up losing by a final score of 33-32.

It was a bad loss. There are no excuses for having that kind of a collapse.

Despite the loss, the Giants are in a much better position than they have been in for years. Dart has clearly shown that he can be the team’s long-term franchise quarterback. However, there are things that need to be built out around him.

Right after being named the starter in New York, the unfortunate knee injury was suffered by Malik Nabers. Dart and Nabers will form a deadly duo moving forward, but the Giants could still use another weapon as well.

Jaxson Dart, New York Giants

Keeping that in mind, a dynamic suggestion has been made for New York.

ESPN analyst Jordan Reid has come up with an idea for who the Giants could target to be a long-term addition for Dart and the offense. He believes that Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson might be the right guy to target in the 2026 NFL Draft.

“Jaxson Dart is showing signs of being the Giants’ next franchise QB, so New York should help him by stocking up on playmakers,” Reid wrote. “With Malik Nabers expected to recover fully from a torn right ACL in time for the 2026 season, drafting Tyson would give Dart another security blanket and a potent one-two punch at wide receiver.”

Tyson has been one of college football’s biggest playmakers this season. He has caught 57 passes for 628 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior.

Standing in at 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, Tyson has great speed and athleticism to make plays down the field. He has had a bad injury history with injuries to both his knee and collarbone, but has overcome those issues to become a potential top-10 pick in the 2026 draft.

Bringing Tyson in alongside of Nabers would give New York two long-term top-tier wide receivers for Dart. Whether or not the Giants will target him or even have a chance to draft him next offseason remains to be seen.

At the very least, Tyson is a name worth monitoring very closely as a potential target for New York. If the Giants are going to develop Dart the right way, focusing on bringing in another playmaker would be a wise choice.
