Great Dane Gets Bed Stolen by Corgi, Hysterics Over What Owner Sees
A Great Dane attempting to squeeze himself into a corgi’s tiny bed has left the internet in stitches, as the oversized pooch appeared determined to make the impossible work—no matter how uncomfortable it looked.
Instagram user Urs Riner (@ursriner) took to social media to share the hilarious moment, capturing his Great Dane’s earnest attempt to contort his enormous body into a small, square dog bed clearly designed for a much smaller breed. The short clip shows the dog spinning around in tight circles, carefully positioning himself in what seems to be a serious effort to get comfortable.
After several determined rotations, the Great Dane finally decides the situation is acceptable and lowers himself onto the bed. Unfortunately, the laws of physics quickly catch up with him. Only a small portion of his rear end manages to fit inside the tiny bed, while the rest of his long limbs and torso sprawl across the surrounding floor.
The comical video has struck a chord with Instagram users and has since gone viral. At the time of writing, the clip—originally shared in January—has amassed more than 3.9 million views and 223,000 likes, with viewers unable to get enough of the dog’s unshakable confidence.

Newsweek has contacted Riner via Instagram for comment. We could not verify the details of the video.
According to the caption, the Great Dane wasn’t being dramatic without reason. Riner explained that the giant dog was forced to “make do” with the corgi’s bed after being “kicked out of his bed by the corgi,” leaving him with only one—and very small—option.
Great Danes are known for their impressive size, often earning the nickname the “Apollo of Dogs.” According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), adult male Great Danes typically stand between 30 and 32 inches tall at the shoulder and can weigh anywhere from 140 to 175 pounds, making them one of the largest dog breeds in the world. Despite their imposing stature, the AKC describes Great Danes as friendly, patient, and dependable, with an easy-going temperament that often makes them affectionate family companions.
The breed’s gentle nature may help explain why the Great Dane in the video didn’t attempt to reclaim his rightful sleeping spot from the much smaller corgi. Instead, he opted for quiet persistence—trying his best to adapt to a bed that was comically undersized.
In the weeks since the clip was shared, thousands of Instagram users have flocked to the comments section to praise the dog’s determination, resulting in more than 3,100 comments on the viral post.
One commenter joked: “In his mind, the more he spins the smaller he gets.”
Another Instagram user wrote: “Each brain cell participated in this careful analysis.”
Another person quipped: “Me thinking my jeans still fit.”
While one viewer summed up the moment perfectly, writing: “Maybe one more circle will do it.”
