Gypsy Rose Blanchard Shares Rare Photo of Newborn Daughter

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors

After welcoming her daughter in December 2024, Gypsy Rose Blanchard set the record straight: “To everyone asking, No, I will not be posting pictures of Aurora.” But every now and then, the 33-year-old reality TV star gives a small glimpse of her little one — sending the internet into a frenzy each time.

On Tuesday, March 18, Blanchard took to Instagram with another rare peek at her newborn, whom she shares with her boyfriend, Ken Urker. The close-up photo showed baby Aurora’s tiny arms as she was being held, with the words “Trust the magic of new beginnings” written at the bottom. The new mom kept the caption simple, dropping a single heart emoji.

Shortly after posting, fans flooded the comments section with love.

“You were called to be this little girls mama, nobody is more fit for her 💗,” one person wrote.

“I’m sooo happy for your new beginnings. Beautiful you. Beautiful daughter. Beautiful life. Beautiful beginnings ❤️,” another said.

“Enjoy it so much, sweet Gypsy!! I had a similar upbringing and let me tell you, motherhood is AMAZING!! You get to be everything you never had. ❤️ you’ll be a WONDERFUL Mama to this child ❤️❤️❤️,” chimed in a third.

“Precious baby enjoy every second they grow in a blink of an eye,” someone else added.

This post is one of only a handful Blanchard has shared of her two-month-old, always keeping Aurora’s face out of view. For Valentine’s Day, the Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up star posted a sweet shot of Urker cradling their daughter on his chest. “My two loves on Valentine’s Day 🥰 @kenurker,” Blanchard captioned the moment on Instagram.

Just earlier this week, the mom of one shared another special family moment — a snapshot of her father, Rod Blanchard, holding Aurora. “Second chances come in small blessings. 💕 #grandpalove,” she wrote alongside the photo.

Aurora was born exactly one year after Blanchard’s release from prison.

In 2016, Blanchard was sentenced to 10 years behind bars for her role in the murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, after enduring years of abuse as a victim of Munchausen by proxy. She was eventually granted parole and walked free on December 28, 2023.
