Helen Hunt, 61, Looks Nearly Unrecognizable in New Selfie
Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors
For fans who are used to seeing Helen Hunt on the big screen or on the red carpet, her latest selfie is decidedly different.
Though Hunt, 61, typically keeps her makeup beat relatively simple, choosing products like lip gloss and eyeshadow to enhance her natural features, she opted to go entirely fresh-faced in her most recent photo with boyfriend Jeffrey Nordling. In the picture, the couple smiled broadly while posing in front of Chicago’s iconic Wrigley Field baseball stadium. The Windy City appeared to live up to its name, as the Twister star’s brunette hair was swept off her face, revealing her makeup-free look.

“Tonight I saw @officialwrigleyfield (just from the outside) for the first time. My God. What a beautiful place,” Hunt gushed in the caption of the photo, which she shared via Instagram on Monday, March 17. “In just a few hours the Chicago @cubs will play my @dodgers in Tokyo in the first game of the 2025 season. Let’s go Dodgers. But my goodness the Cubs are epic and this stadium is a work of art. Let’s go Dodgers! #baseball2025.”
Nordling, for his part, shared a zoomed-out version of the same image, as well as a solo selfie in front of the stadium. His caption, however, differed from Hunt’s in one major way — instead of rooting for the Chicago Cubs (or the Los Angeles Dodgers), he made it known he’s a New York Mets fan all the way.
As for Hunt’s makeup-free selfie, fans — and Nordling — were loving her look, with the Big Little Lies actor, 63, calling the Oscar winner “divine” in his caption.
“Lovely pic,” gushed a follower in the comments section of Hunt’s post. “You look gorgeous Helen.”
Many were simply excited that she appeared to be enjoying her time in Chicago, where she is currently starring in the play Betrayal.
“You were right by my house!” one excited fan wrote. “I am coming to see your play next week. I can’t wait!! Glad you are enjoying our city.”
Hunt’s latest photo is far from the first time she has opted to go makeup-free on Instagram.
In February, she posted a fresh-faced mirror selfie while in rehearsal for Betrayal.
“Beautiful lady. No face fillers etc. Natural & a great actor 🙌,” one person wrote at the time.
“still just as beautiful and breathtaking as you were the very first time i saw you,” another wrote.
As for her relationship with Nordling, the couple made their red carpet debut in 2023, though they had been sharing photos with each other via social media back in 2022.
