How Dog Asks Owner To Follow Her Delights Viewers: ‘Cutest Boss’
A dog named Olive has gone viral for the sneaky way she tricks her owner into feeding her, and internet users can’t stop laughing at her hilarious footage.
In a TikTok video shared on Wednesday by @adampaulwilliams, the blue Staffordshire terrier is filmed walking along a corridor at home, waving her tail while repeatedly turning her head back to check her owner is following.
At some point, she even starts swinging her head sideways, toward the end of the corridor, as if trying to tell him to hurry up.
“How my dog tells me to follow her to her food,” reads layover text in the clip. A caption says: “She knows when it’s time to eat. She acts like she wants to show me a secret, but it’s really just her food.”
While dogs are able to understand on average 89 human words, trying to understand them can be quite challenging for us as their owners, but according to experts, reading their body language will make communication a lot easier.
The American Kennel Club (AKC) explains that while dogs do sometimes use barks to communicate, an easier way to understand their emotions is by paying close attention to their body language.
Focus on their tail, for example. The AKC says that while a wagging tail is usually associated with an excited dog, that is not always the case. In fact, their tail can tell you a very different story depending on its position on the ground, or how fast or slow they are swinging it.
Moreover, their posture, facial expressions, and eyes, can say a lot about the way they are feeling.
Different breeds may also have very special signals, unique to them. A raised paw, for example, often indicates the pup is uncertain or insecure, but for English pointers, it may indicate the presence of prey.

The video quickly went viral on social media and it has so far received over 2.3 million views and 363,700 likes on the platform.
One user, Composer Harold D. Shores III, commented: “The clearest communication I’ve ever seen from a dog.”
Bevisbean said: “That’s the most blatant c’mon I’ve ever seen. Omg she’d be so fat if she did that to me, I’d be like ohhh okay okay.”
Susi Hernández added: “He said come on let me show you something, right this way. So smart.”
Maria wrote: “You’ve got the cutest boss ever.”
