How Many Points Did Lakers’ Bronny James Score in Win Over Pelicans?

The Los Angeles Lakers grabbed another win on Saturday night, dispatching the New Orleans Pelicans by a score of 104-99. The win was the fifth straight for Los Angeles as they seem to be catching their stride early on in the season.
Los Angeles now sits with a record of 9-4 on the year, looking much more competitive than they ever did a season ago. The team was trailing for the entire first half but used a strong surge in the third quarter to propel them to another victory.
The team was led by star big man Anthony Davis who put in 31 points and 14 rebounds. He continued his incredible start to the season and was dominant all over the floor against New Orleans.
But as usual with the Lakers, the eyes were on whether rookie guard Bronny James would enter the game. James ended up being a DNP-Coaches Decision once again.
He was the same designation on Friday night against the San Antonio Spurs for the Lakers. With the game being as close as it was, James was never likely to see game action.

While James didn’t play, he still got the experience of being on the bench with an NBA team. He has been with the team quite often this season but hardly ever gets into the game.
Los Angeles has had a plan to shuffle him between the NBA and G-League throughout the season. James is not at the level needed to be a full-time NBA player just yet so the Lakers are giving him time to develop.
However, he is only playing in the home games for the South Bay Lakers in the G-League. This is a move that many have criticized but Los Angeles made the call in regards to him being the son of NBA superstar LeBron James.
The Lakers believe that at some point, Bronny will be able to turn himself into an impactful player at the NBA level. It could take some time for him to grow his game enough to be trusted on the floor consistently.
But the Lakers seem to be giving him the time needed and using patience with his development. Bronny has shown strong defensive skills already but still has some work to do with his offensive game.
With South Bay playing a home game today, Bronny will likely take the court in the G-League.
