The Wildcats have won their last eight games. They won the Big 12 Tournament with three straight wins. They beat BYU, 4-1, followed by a dominant 12-1 win over West Virginia. In the championship game, they took down TCU 2-1.
They entered the NCAA Tournament as the No. 2 seed in the Eugene Regional and beat Cal Poly in the first game, 3-2, followed by a 14-4 win over Utah State to qualify for the championship game. They turned around and beat Cal Poly a second time to win the regional. Mason White was the regional MVP. On the season, White has 19 home runs and 70 RBIs.
