The Stallions are coming off a 33-25 win last week against the Houston Roughnecks. Birmingham quarterback Case Cookus was 17-for-34 for 199 yards with a touchdown and an interception. J’Mar Smith saw some time under center as well, going 3-for-5 for 63 yards. Smith also added a touchdown run.
Smith was one of three Stallions players to find the end zone on the ground. Ricky Person Jr. had 13 carries for 61 yards and a score while C.J. Marable added 43 yards and a touchdown. Jace Sternberger had four receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown.
As for the Battlehawks, last week saw the team defeat the Memphis Showboats 19-9. Max Duggan was 15-for-23 for 158 yards with a touchdown and a pick, plus added 10 carries for 57 yards and a touchdown. Duggan has been one of the UFL’s best quarterbacks.
Jahcour Pearson caught the touchdown, but finished with just six receiving yards despite making three catches. Gary Jennings Jr. led the team with three catches for 61 yards.
