Phoenix has not performed up to expectations this season, but they seem to be finding their footing during their recent four-game winning streak. They’ve defeated the Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, and most recently, the Milwaukee Bucks on a clutch jumper from star Devin Booker. The Suns are still the tenth seed, barely in the play-in, but they have hope that the combination of Booker, Kevin Durant, and rookie Ryan Dunn can continue their move up the Western Conference standings.
Currently on a six-game winning streak and 11 wins in 12 games, the Celtics suddenly find themselves with a legitimate chance to catch the Cleveland Cavaliers for the top seed in the Eastern Conference. They are five games back with 10 games to go, which would be a difficult, but it is not an insurmountable task. The Celtics’ last game saw them beat the Sacramento Kings by a score of 113-95, with Jayson Tatum leading the charge with 25 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists. Reserve guard Payton Pritchard added 22 points off the bench as the Celtics cruised to victory.
This is the first meeting between the Celtics and Suns this season, with a second game scheduled for April 4th.
