Chelsea will be especially desperate for a win, as the club sits sixth on the Premier League table, one point behind fifth-place Newcastle United and one point behind Manchester City, who was just humiliated 5-1 on Sunday by Arsenal, in fourth place. That means Chelsea, which has played one fewer match than either aforementioned club, is just one point outside of a Europa League spot for next season, as well as just one point behind Champions League qualification.
A win would see Chelsea overtake the fourth spot on the table and get into that much-coveted Champions League classification area, reserved for the top four of the EPL every season. We don’t have to explain how valuable that is for every big club, like Chelsea, both financially and for prestige.

Chelsea is in just decent form at the moment, coming off a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth, a 3-1 win over lowly Wolves, and a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City, one that saw Noni Madueke be the lone scorer for the Blues.
West Ham United, meanwhile, will be happy with any sort of result on Monday, as the club doesn’t have much hope of earning an international competition spot this season. The Irons are trying to stave off relegation, if anything, as West Ham United sits 15th on the table, just two spots clear of danger, albeit with a 10-point cushion over 18th-place Leicester City. Most recently, the Hammers drew 1-1 with Aston Villa thanks to a 70th-minute goal by Emerson Palmieri.
