Chelsea has scored a total of 13 goals in its past three meetings with Wolverhampton Wanderers and welcomes the Midlands side to Stamford Bridge on Saturday. What’s more, the Blues are hoping to extend their three-match undefeated streak, which includes a narrow EFL Cup victory over who else but Wolves.
That being said, Enzo Maresca’s men were disappointed to settle for a 2-2 draw in their trip to Azerbaijani outfit Qarabag in the Champions League on Wednesday. The manager made some changes to his XI for the European expedition but was ultimately left wanting as the west Londoners dropped vital points on the continent.
Wolves, meanwhile, are currently unsettled after recently parting ways with head coach Vitor Pereira, and sit at the bottom of the Premier League, having yet to record a win this season. Interim coach James Collins is set to lead the team in their trip to the capital, though the prospects appear dim at present.
Chelsea has recovered a raft of injured players of late, though Cole Palmer, Romeo Lavia, Levi Colwill, and Benoit Badiashile are still recovering. Emmanuel Agbadou is suspended for Wolves after he was sent off in last weekend’s 3-0 defeat at Fulham, while Rodrigo Gomes won’t feature until 2026 after undergoing surgery.
