Colorado State has lost seven of its past nine encounters with Wyoming, but can celebrate back-to-back wins over its Mountain West adversary this Saturday. Not since 2016 have the Rams managed consecutive victories in the Border War, which was also the last time Colorado State recorded a win at War Memorial Stadium.
The Bronze Boot is once again up for grabs as two teams separated by the slimmest of margins in the MWC collide once again. Both teams possess a 1-2 record in conference play so far this year, but Wyoming is marginally better off on the whole, having notched one more victory overall to date.
This will be Tyson Summers’ first game in charge of Colorado State after he replaced Jay Norvell in an interim capacity on Sunday. It appears likely that the Rams will place a heavy focus on defense, at least for the time being, as they look to add some stability.
The Cowboys will host the 117th edition of the Border War, where it trails with 51 wins to Colorado State’s 60 to date (five draws).
