Georgia’s only blemish thus far was a 97-94 overtime defeat to Clemson (on a neutral floor), though it is worth noting that they have not faced a ranked opponent yet. Somto Cyril made all six of his field goal attempts, adding six rebounds and six blocks, while Marcus Millender added 24 points off the bench.
Florida came into the season with very high hopes, ranked No. 3 in the preseason AP polls, but hasn’t been able to secure a signature win to defend that ranking. They’ve had chances, but have lost to No. 13 Arizona, No. 4 Duke, and No. 5 UConn. They put together a four-game winning streak in mid-December before dropping a tough road game at Missouri. In the 76-74 loss, Thomas Haugh led the way with 24 points and seven rebounds, but the team shot just 41.3% from the field, which led to the defeat.
