Ole Miss stepped out of SEC play last week to rout The Citadel, an FCS program, 49-0. Trinidad Chambliss threw three touchdown passes, and Kewan Lacy scored three times on the ground. Chambliss finished 29-of-33 for 333 yards in the blowout, and the defense surrendered just 106 yards. The Rebels are 5-1 in SEC play and need help to reach the conference title game, as Texas A&M and Alabama are both unbeaten in the SEC and won’t play in the regular season.
Florida fell to 0-2 under interim coach Billy Gonzales and 2-4 in the SEC with a 38-7 drubbing at Kentucky last week. DJ Lagway’s 10-yard touchdown pass to Jaden Baugh late in the first quarter gave the Gators a 7-3 lead before the Wildcats took over the game. Lagway was 11-of-19 for 83 yards but threw three interceptions before being benched after halftime. Baugh ran for 64 yards on 17 carries while also catching five passes for another 27.
The Gators have won the last three meetings, including a 24-17 win at home last season, and now lead the all-time series 13-12-1. Ole Miss’s last win against Florida came on the road in 2008.
This is a great college football matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
