Illinois turned up the defense in the second half on Sunday to pull away from visiting Indiana for a 71-51 victory that stopped a two-game skid. David Mirkovic finished with 25 points and seven rebounds while Keaton Wagler added 18 points and three steals for the Fighting Illini. Tomislav Ivisic tossed in 14 points, and Kylan Boswell grabbed seven boards in the win.

USC’s three-game winning streak was snapped on Feb. 11 with an 89-82 loss at Ohio State. The Trojans cut a nine-point deficit with four minutes left to just two, but never got over the jump. Alijah Arenas led USC with 25 points and three steals but was just 6-of-19 from the floor, with Kam Woods adding 14 points. Ezra Ausar finished with 13 points, nine rebounds, and four steals, and Jordan Marsh came off the bench for 13 points.

The Trojans won last year’s meeting at Illinois and lead the all-time series 7-3. Wagler averages 18.5 points for the Fighting Illini, with Boswell getting 14.0 points per game and Mirkovic putting up 13.0 points and 8.0 boards a night. Zvonimir Ivisic blocks 2.2 shots per contest as well. With Rodney Rice and Chad Baker-Mazara ailing, Ausar paces USC with an average of 15.7 points while Arenas scores 15.4 points per game and Jacob Cofie secures 7.2 boards per outing.

This is a great college basketball matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
