Markkanen also had six rebounds and five assists in the victory, while the Jazz defense held Kawhi Leonard to 10 points.
The Kings dropped their season opener against the Phoenix Suns, losing 120-116. DeRozan scored 29 points with nine assists, and Zach LaVine added 30 points, but it wasn’t enough for Sacramento to get the victory. Only two other players, Malik Monk and Dennis Schroder, scored in double figures.
