Game Preview
The new-look Lakers are riding a four-game win streak and currently sit in the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference, led by All-Stars LeBron James and newly acquired phenom Luka Doncic. In their last game, the Lakers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 111-102, led by the ageless James, who scored 33 points to go with 17 rebounds and six assists. Austin Reaves chipped in with 23 points, six rebounds, and five assists, and Doncic tallied 21 points to go with 13 rebounds and five assists.
For the Clippers, inconsistency has been the name of the game, as they haven’t put together a four-game winning or losing streak in over a month. In their last outing, the Clippers defeated the Chicago Bulls on the road, 122-117. James Harden led the way with 30 points and six assists, going 7-for-14 from the 3-point line. Kawhi Leonard made his 17th appearance of the season, scoring 17 points to go with eight rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
This will be the third of four matchups between the teams this season, with the Clippers winning 116-102 back on January 19th and the Lakers winning 122-97 on February 4th.
