The Delaware Blue Hens (6-6) close out their first season at the FBS level with a matchup against the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns (6-6) in the 68 Ventures Bowl at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama, on Wednesday night.

Delaware became bowl-eligible with a 61-31 win over visiting UTEP on Nov. 29. Nick Minicucci leads the offense with 3,507 yards and 22 touchdown passes to go with 10 rushing scores. Leading rusher Jo Silver was limited in the UTEP victory and finished with 536 yards and four TDs. Sean Wilson led the receiving corps with 60 catches, 796 yards, and two touchdowns, while Kyre Duplessis snagged 55 passes for 755 yards and five scores. Mysonne Pollard picked off four passes for the defense while Gavin Moul recorded 103 tackles.
Louisiana won its final four games to reach bowl eligibility, claiming a 30-27 overtime victory over visiting UL Monroe in its regular-season finale on Nov. 29. Offensive tackle Bryant Williams entered the transfer portal after making 11 starts. Lunch Winfield threw for 1,324 yards and 10 touchdowns while picking up 627 yards and nine scores on the ground. Bill Davis had 739 yards and six rushing TDs, and Zylan Perry rambled for 664 yards and eight touchdowns. Shelton Sampson Jr. caught 29 passes for 495 yards and five scores. Jordan Lawson had five sacks for the defense, and Jaden Dugger made 118 tackles.
The teams meet for the first time on Wednesday night. The Blue Hens finished 4-4 in their first run through Conference USA, while the Ragin’ Cajuns went 5-3 in the Sun Belt Conference this season.
