Nebraska and Georgetown take the court at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for a quarterfinal matchup in the inaugural College Basketball Crown Tournament on Wednesday night.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers finished their season with an 18-14 record and failed to qualify for the Big Ten Tournament after finishing with a 7-13 record against conference teams. The Georgetown Hoyas finished their season with an 18-15 record and lost by four points to DePaul in the first round of the Big East Tournament. Who will come out on top on Wednesday?

The Cornhuskers opened up this tournament on Monday night with a game against Arizona State and won 86-78. Brice Williams led the team with 30 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field and 10-of-13 from the free throw line. Williams also had four rebounds and two assists. Juwan Gary had 18 points and five rebounds with three assists on 8-of-16 shooting, while Connor Essegian came off the bench and had 17 points in 23 minutes.
The Hoyas opened the tournament with a West Coast Conference opponent in Washington State. They came away with an 85-82 win. Malik Mack led the team with a game-high 37 points on 13-of-24 shooting from the field. Jordan Burks had the only double-double of the night for either team, with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Caleb Williams was the only other player in double figures with 13 points and eight rebounds.
Wednesday’s matchup between the two teams will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
