These two teams played right at the end of February with the Wildcats pulling off an 83-82 win over the Sooners. Oklahoma has won three straight games and will be seeking revenge in this matchup after narrowly losing by only one point in the previous matchup.
Kentucky is the 17th ranked team in the nation, and will look to secure a spot in the NCAA Tournament with a deep run through the SEC Tournament, but will have to get by an Oklahoma team that has their backs against the wall. If the Sonners fail to pick up a win here, their chances of making the Big Dance are essentially zero after posting a 6-12 record during the regular season against conference opponents.
Otega Oweh, who transferred to Kentucky after two seasons with Oklahoma, punished his former team with 28 points, six rebounds, and two blocks when they last met. Jeremiah Fears will be tasked with keeping the Sooners in this game by carrying a heavy offensive workload. Fears led Oklahoma in scoring this season with 16.7 points per game.
