Washington State gets a second shot at becoming bowl eligible after a 24-20 loss last week at James Madison. The Cougars took a 20-17 lead in the fourth quarter on Jack Stevens’ 36-yard field goal before the Dukes got a touchdown on their next possession to secure the victory. Oregon State has lost two in a row since beating the Cougars on Nov. 1 and comes off a bye week following a 31-14 loss at Tulsa on Nov. 15. Anthony Hankerson powers the offense with 1,015 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground, while Maalik Murphy has thrown for 1,805 yards with nine scores and eight interceptions. Trent Walker has team-highs of 61 catches and 762 yards, while David Wells Jr. has caught four TD passes.
The Beavers have two straight wins in the series, both at home, including their 10-7 victory to kick off November, while Washington State holds a 57-49-3 advantage all-time.
