The Los Angeles Clippers are a disappointing 3-5 this season, dropping their last three games in a row ahead of this rematch with the Phoenix Suns. In a 115-102 win last time by Phoenix, the Suns were led by Jalen Green, who had an extremely strong season debut, dropping 29 points, three rebounds, and three assists. Franchise cornerstone Devin Booker was also fantastic, scoring 24 points, dishing out seven assists, and securing six rebounds.
It is worth noting that both Kawhi Leonard and James Harden missed the game for Los Angeles. Los Angeles’ last win came on Halloween, Friday, a 126-124 result over the New Orleans Pelicans. In that game, the Clippers were led by Leonard, who had 34 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Harden was also great in that win for L.A., as the former league MVP had 24 points, five rebounds, and 14 assists.
It should have been seen as a sign of things to come, though, that the Clippers needed overtime to eke out a two-point win against a then-winless Pelicans squad. Now, Los Angeles will be hoping to turn their recent bad fortunes and secure a win in this rematch against Phoenix.
