Sweden has run through this tournament, winning all four of its games in the group stage before beating Latvia 6-3 in the quarterfinals. Things got a bit dicier in the semifinals, but the team pulled out a 4-3 shootout victory over Finland.
The Swedish team is appearing in its second final in the last three tournaments and is in search of its first title since 2012.
Czechia was second behind Canada in Group B with two wins, one overtime win, and one loss. It beat Switzerland 6-2 in the quarterfinals, then defeated Canada 6-4 in the semifinals.
After back-to-back third-place finishes in this tournament, Czechia has a chance to win its first World Juniors title since 2001. It last appeared in the 2023 final, losing in overtime to Canada.
