After losing four of five, the Minnesota Timberwolves have started to find their stride again, winning five in a row. In their last contest, they took care of the San Antonio Spurs in dominating fashion, scoring the first seven points of the game and never trailing, ending in a 141-124 victory. Eight players scored in double digits, led by an efficient 25 points on 10-for-15 from the field for star guard Anthony Edwards. The Wolves shot 55.8% from the field and 50% from the 3-point line.
While the Wolves’ previous performance was impressive, the Nuggets somehow performed even better. Against the best team in the NBA (Oklahoma City Thunder), the Nuggets went on the road and shot 60.5% from the field and 56.3% from the 3-point line in a 140-127 win. Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic would combine to score 69 points with 22 rebounds and 14 assists on 26-for-42 shooting.
The Timberwolves and Nuggets have faced off twice this season (both in Minnesota), with the Wolves winning both games. They will play again on April 1 in Denver.
