St. John’s ran its winning streak to eight games and moved to 10-1 in conference play, pulling away at DePaul in the second half for a 68-56 win. Zuby Ejiofor went for 16 points and nine rebounds, and Bryce Hopkins scored 15 points for the Red Storm while Oziyah Sellers added 13 points.
The Red Storm swept two meetings with the Huskies last season to improve its mark to 39-34 in the all-time series. Solo Ball averages 14.3 points for UConn, while Reed gets 14.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, and Demary chips in with 10.9 points and a Big East-best 6.2 assists a night. Ejiofor posts averages of 15.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks for St. John’s, with Hopkins scoring 13.6 points per game
