March Madness is officially upon us, and the much anticipated field of 68 teams is set to be revealed tonight during the NCAA Women’s Selection Special. The committee is tasked with deciding which teams are worthy, while other programs will be left disappointed if they do not hear their name called.

The conference champions have guaranteed themselves an automatic bid, but they are still waiting to see which corner of the bracket they will have to fight their way through as they begin their journey to the Sweet Sixteen and Final Four.

USC, UCLA, UConn, Texas, and South Carolina all project out to be some of the top seeds, but we will have to wait and see who the committee decides to go with, as only four can receive a No. 1 seed.

USC and Texas failed to win their conference championships, but they have been two of the top teams in college basketball this season. USC’s JuJu Watkins is one of the most exciting players in the NCAA this year as only a sophomore.

UConn, UCLA, and the defending champion South Carolina Gamecocks all won their conference tournaments, giving them a great chance to be the highest ranked team in their region. Paige Bueckers of UConn has the ability to take March over.
