Human Remains Found Near Taylor Swift’s Mansion: What We Know

A human leg bone was discovered in Rhode Island’s Westerly, local police said, close to the home of billionaire singer-songwriter Taylor Swift.
Westerly Police Department is investigating Wednesday morning’s grim discovery along Everett Avenue in the Watch Hill neighborhood, ABC6 reported, but they do not currently suspect foul play.
The Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office now has the remains for analysis.
Taylor Day, a Westerly resident, was driving past the scene as investigators arrived.
“It was probably a couple football fields away from Taylor Swift’s house and the Ocean House,” Day told NBC 10 News. “I would never expect anything like that—especially not in Watch Hill.”
Ocean House is a five-diamond resort.
Day continued: “My mind immediately went to all the theories that are being thrown around. I’m more aware of my surroundings. I don’t go [to] places that are kind of dim or where I could be alone. Just trying to stay out in public and be vigilant.”
