Hysterics at Dog’s ‘Fake Sleeping’ After Chewing Owner’s Shoe

A mischievous dog has left viewers online in hysterics after being caught red-handed—or rather, red-pawed—chewing up her owner’s sandal, only to play dead when confronted.

The viral video, originally shared to TikTok by the dog’s owner under @jasmz18, has amassed 4.6 million views and has been liked more than 658,000 times.

Viewers were able to see the dog’s owner holding up a visibly chewed-up sandal close to the camera. The damage is evident, with bite marks scattered across the surface. The clip then cut to the culprit—a white female dog—lying motionless on a couch, with her eyes firmly shut as if in deep slumber.

Despite the canine appearing to be asleep, her owner hinted that this peaceful nap was nothing but an act.

Overlaid text on the video reads: “It’s the fake sleeping for me.”

The dog’s comedic attempt at dodging responsibility has left TikTok users in stitches, with thousands leaving amused comments for the dog’s owner.

The post, captioned: “How can I be mad at her,” has resonated with pet owners worldwide who have seen similar antics from their own furry companions. Several viewers have jokingly voiced that they side with the dog’s plea for innocence, while others gushed over her sweet looks while feigning exhaustion.
