Internet Can’t Cope With Goldendoodle’s Very Millennial Halloween Costume

A goldendoodle dressed as a Beanie Baby for Halloween has delighted viewers on TikTok—reviving millennial nostalgia for many, while proving that, when it comes to canine Halloween costumes, less is often more.

Shared to TikTok by @kaleighleip on July 10, the now-viral video features the curly-haired dog sitting solemnly with a plush red “TY” tag hanging from his neck. The clip is overlaid with the caption: “Not a fan of his Halloween costume.” Viewers, however, were quick to disagree.

Since it was posted, the video has been liked more than 1.2 million times and viewed over 7.2 million times. The sight of the dog channeling a lifelike version of the iconic ’90s plush toy has left viewers in stitches, with many poking fun at the canine’s unamused expression in the costume.

Comments have poured in from viewers who were clearly caught off guard by the combination of accuracy and hilarity. Several have highlighted the dog’s expressive stare toward the figure behind the camera, joking that it hints at the canine feeling disgruntled by the choice of outfit.

“I thought the dog was the Halloween costume and there was a human in there,” one viewer said.

“Halloween for the win,” another added.

“He’s just a big baby,” a third viewer posted.

“He looks like rootbeer the beanie boo,” one comment read, while another shared that the dog reminds them of another toy from the range called Noodles.

“OMG [oh my God], it’s perfect,” one viewer commented.

“He’s embarrassed,” another posted.

“OMG adorable, I love how you’re not loading him down with a full body costume,” a third viewer commented.

“That’s adorable,” one user shared.

“Side eye,” another added.

“Doodles are so sassy,” a third wrote in agreement.

“Honestly the best costume ever,” one viewer summed up, while another commented that they had dressed their own goldendoodle similarly last Halloween.

Goldendoodles—crosses between golden retrievers and poodles—are beloved for their intelligence, affectionate nature, and highly expressive personalities.

Known for their ability to mirror human emotions with startling accuracy, these dogs appear to communicate through soulful eyes, animated gestures, and hilariously deadpan expressions. Their natural charisma and emotional range make them ideal family pets.
