No, according to Maria A. Bivens, Press Secretary for the PA Department of Corrections, who told Newsweek in an email on Thursday that Mangione has not received any physical or online fan mail.

Mangione, 26, is behind bars at the State Correctional Institution at Huntingdon in Pennsylvania and is charged with murder in Thompson’s death.

The Ivy League grad’s appearance, including his six-pack abs, bushy eyebrows, and bright smile, has taken over the internet, turning him into an online sex symbol.

“The manhunt has now ended with investigators declaring ‘too hot to convict,'” one X user tweeted on Monday, including photos of Mangione taken from his social media profiles.

“The healthcare CEO assassin Luigi Mangione is soooo HOT,” wrote another user.

“Luigi Mangione got the full package, free him,” said another.

Jimmy Kimmel’s opening monologue on December 10 even featured text exchanges between members of his late-night show staff and their friends and family thirsting over Mangione.

“Texting all my friends in New York that I hope they get called to jury duty,” one exchange from a staff member said.

“God I want to do jury duty so bad,” a friend replied.

After Midnight host Taylor Tomlinson also described Mangione as “sexy.”

“All of the other late-night shows already covered the fact that everyone thinks the shooter is hot,” Tomlinson said on December 9. “But I feel confident that I’m the only late-night host who can honestly say: ‘Would.'”

She continued: “It turns out he actually got caught because an employee recognized him and phoned the police. Do you have any idea how attractive you have to be for a McDonald’s employee to be like, ‘Wait, okay, you being in here is suspicious.'”

“I’m surprised that anyone turned this guy in considering all the thirsting after him online. I mean every post about this guy just straight-up calls him sexy,” said Tomlinson, showing a tweet referring to Mangione as a “person of interest in more ways than one.”

The December 4 Legal Committee, a team of 15 volunteers from around the country, created a GiveSendGo fundraiser to help Mangione with his legal fees. At the time of publication, the fundraiser has nearly hit $50,000 from more than 1,500 donors.

The D4 Legal Committee tells Newsweek in an email that they have contacted Mangione and his lawyer, Tom Dickey.

In an update on GiveSendGo on Thursday, the D4 Legal Committee said they sent a letter to Mangione in jail.

“Dear Luigi Mangione, You are going through a lot right now, but we wanted to let you know that we set up a legal defense fund for you and we have received over $30,000 and counting to put towards your defense or, if you do not want the funds, toward the defense of other political prisoners. Along with the donations have come hundreds of messages of support for you. We are reaching out to your legal defense as well in case this letter doesn’t reach you,” they wrote, in part.
