Jack Russell Making Clear He Won’t Share His Toy Has Internet in Stitches

A Jack Russell known as Dylan the Villain has left the internet in stitches after a video of him categorically refusing to share his toy with another dog at the park went viral on social media.

The clip, shared on TikTok by the pup’s owner under the handle @yj82595, shows Dylan flaunting his stuffed cow toy in front of a German shepherd.

As he circles around the much bigger dog, holding his precious toy tight between his teeth, Dylan makes it clear that he will not share it under any circumstances, until the German shepherd looses interest and walks away.

“Yeah you better walk on…..” says the caption shared along with the video.

Dogs can be very possessive of items, including their toys, according to VetExplainsPets, and may even come aggressive when someone tries to touch them. That’s why you should address this behavior before it becomes common practice for them.

While some breeds are genetically more prone to possessiveness than others, understanding their breed-specific behavior can help you tackle this issue.

VetExplainsPets says that one of the best ways to train your dog to share their toys is by signing them up for socialization classes. Positive reinforcement techniques are another effective way of stopping this behavior, the website adds.

The video of Dylan the Villain quickly went viral social media since it was posted on September 2, and has so far received more than 956,000 views, 70,000 likes and 2,000 comments on TikTok.

Caity posted crying laughing emojis and joked: “He’s like ‘u see this? This could be you pal! Just watch yourself.”

A second TikToker said: “Just showing you what happens if you mess around.”

A third added: “I love his threat!!! So Demure yet threatening, so savage yet classy.”

While another user commented: “I know the GS is thinking…’mom look, 2 stuffed animals..”

One TikToker shared similar experiences with their own pets. Penelope Marie wrote: “I had a Chihuahua, 2 Huskies, & a German Shepherd Australian Cattle Dog mix. Guess who was in charge? The Chihuahua of course!”

Another user wrote: “So much imagination running through his little head.”

And one said: “The anger management toy… love it.”
