Jaguars’ Travis Hunter Scores First NFL Touchdown in Dynamic Fashion

The Jacksonville Jaguars are facing off against the Los Angeles Rams in London, and the game has not been going well for the Jags. Multiple drops and offensive stalls led to the team being handily beaten by a 28-0 score thus far. However, the team is now on the board with a touchdown to Travis Hunter.

Hunter has been used on both offense and defense in 2025, but now in the manner that most expected him to be. After nearly seven weeks of action, the dual-threat receiver and cornerback finally logged his first touchdown pass as a receiver.

The Jaguars have not scored through almost four quarters of action, when Hunter broke a little loose from his defender. Even in apparent triple coverage, Trevor Lawrence gunned the ball downfield, with Hunter leaping in the air to bring it down.

Even more impressive was that Hunter made a juke move and ran right into the endzone for his first NFL touchdown.

There was a penalty on the play, but that landed on the Rams, leaving the touchdown counted and good.

At the time of this writing, the score is 28-7 with a little over seven minutes left of gameplay. It is highly unlikely that the Jaguars will be able to catch up, but at least Hunter was able to log his first NFL score.

There has been plenty of talk regarding Hunter, and his ability to play both offensive and defensive positions with the same skill he did as a member of the Colorado Buffaloes.

Through six games of the regular season, Hunter has 197 yards. On defense, he has two passes defended and 15 total tackles.

In Week 7 against the Rams, Hunter now has 85 yards and one touchdown on six receptions.

Hunter has shown his playmaking abilities, but being a rookie and trying to play two positions was always going to be difficult. Still, seeing his first touchdown pass has to be a huge shining spot for the Jaguars’ offense.
