Jaxson Dart’s Reaction to Cam Skattebo’s Brutal Injury is Heartbreaking
New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo suffered what appeared to be a devastating lower-leg injury in an NFC East showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
The rookie running back burst onto the scene after Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. suffered an injury earlier in the season. The former Arizona State standout who helped the Sun Devils to the College Football Playoff offered immediate juice for a Giants offense lacking any real playmakers following the season-ending injury to Malik Nabers.
Now it seems like New York will be without two of its best weapons moving forward after cameras caught Skattebo’s right foot facing in a very unnatural position after a tackle in the first half.

Fox’s cameras focused on Skattebo’s ankle for a brief moment before changing camera angles to show the reaction from the rookie quarterback. Dart was distraught as he watched his friend suffer a potentially season-ending lower leg injury, showing plenty of emotion as he shouted in anger and shook his head in disbelief.
Before suffering the devastating injury, Skattebo racked up 30 total yards and a touchdown on just four touches as the Giants trail the Eagles 14-7 in the second quarter.
The rookie running back is the team’s leading rusher (398 yards) and fourth-leading receiver (189 yards) so far this season and leads the team with six total touchdowns.
