Jessica Biel Makes Rare Public Appearance with 9-Year-Old Son Silas

Jessica Biel recently made a rare public appearance with her oldest son, Silas, at the US Open.

On Thursday, August 29, the actress and her 9-year-old enjoyed a day out at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, NY, where they attended the fourth day of the championship. The duo was spotted entering Arthur Ashe Stadium to watch Karolína Muchova take on Naomi Osaka.

Biel, 42, looked chic in a cream suit set while Silas opted for a striped green and blue long sleeve collared shirt and khakis. They were also spotted in the stands cheering and clapping as they watched the intense match.

While Biel has attended the U.S. Open several times, this was a rare outing with Silas. She had previously avoided bringing her children (she also has a 4-year-old son named Phineas) to such events, stating to Kelly Ripa on her Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast, “No disrespect to anyone who feels comfortable doing that, that’s just our family choice. Maybe it’s a mistake. I don’t know.”

Biel recently gave fans another rare look at both her children in a Father’s Day tribute to her husband, Justin Timberlake (with whom she shares both children). Her Instagram post, which featured sweet images of Timberlake, 43, with their boys, was accompanied by the caption: “You’re so many things to so many people. But to us you are THE ROCK. The rock we climb on, we lean against. The rock that shades us from the sun. And when we recline on you, as we always do, hopefully our butts will keep you eternally grounded and warm. We LOVE YOU ❤️.”

The touching post came two days after Timberlake was arrested for a DWI. On June 18, the Mirrors singer was arrested in the Hamptons after police observed him running a stoplight, swerving, and failing to stay in his lane while driving his BMW past midnight. Timberlake declined to take a breathalyzer test, claiming he had only one martini and followed friends home.
