Joe Rogan Called Out Over Podcast Error

Joe Rogan has been called out over an error in the headline of his recent podcast.

The former Fear Factor host, 57, interviewed The Daily Show host Michael Kosta, 45, on Friday’s episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, and eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot a typo. On YouTube, the title of the show reads: “Joe Rogan Experience #2290—MIchael Kosta,” with the “I” in Kosta’s first name capitalized.

In the comments underneath the YouTube clip, @Bishadid wrote, “MI chael.”

“Typo in title,” @ForkInTheRoad33 said, while @vineetdodd9915, @GeekPlusGamer and @jacobbell8171 all posted, “MIchael.”

“*Michael,” @Lsr_001 added.

Others, meanwhile, suspected the uppercase “I” was actually a lowercase “L.”

“mLcheal costa,” said @t-go2gw, as @justinanderson267 asked, “MLCHAEL?”

YouTube user @TheOpenerXD called on Rogan’s podcast producer, Jamie Vernon, specifically.

“THE I IN HIS FIRST NAME IS UPPER CASE JAMIE! FIGURE IT OUT!”

At the time of publication, the error was still visible on YouTube. On other podcast platforms, such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts, the title is spelled correctly.

Newsweek reached out to Rogan’s representative via email for comment.

During his chat with Kosta, Rogan praised Jon Stewart’s Daily Show return. Stewart hosted the program from 1999 to 2015 and returned to the show on Monday nights through the 2024 presidential election. In October, Comedy Central announced that he would continue to host the show on Monday nights until December 2025 and would also continue to serve as a full-time executive producer.

“I’m so happy he’s back at The Daily Show, and I’m so happy he makes fun of everything, and I’m so happy he still makes d*** jokes. You know, it’s fun,” Rogan said.

“It’s like The Daily Show seems like The Daily Show again. Like that guy’s a very unique dude, very unique person and one of the most important pieces to unify everybody. He’s reasonable, like, he gets the whole big picture. Like, let’s just stop being so f****** ridiculously tribal.”

Kosta equated The Daily Show‘s morning meetings to a “conversation with a college professor.”

“In the morning meeting, he’ll come in, and we’re all sitting there—the writers—and he just kind of shuts the door behind him, and we start talking. It’s like a conversation with a college professor, but he’s in charge, and it’s beautiful—all sides,” the Emmy award winner said.

“It’s really fun to be a part of. And then someone will yell out a d*** joke, and then that joke will make it to the show, too, you know? It’s, like, smart things and dumb things.”

Rogan added that Stewart has “never abandoned being a real comic, which is what got him to the dance in the first place.”

“He’s always had those instincts,” the UFC commentator said. “He’s the very best at, like, holding a line and making something even more preposterous just for the facial expression and pointing out these f****** unbelievably ridiculous in-your-face hypocrisies that we see every day from both sides.”

Chris McCarthy—co-CEO at Paramount Global, Comedy Central’s parent company—said in Stewart’s extension announcement that he’s “one of the most important voices in political and cultural commentary today.”

“His ability to cut through the noise and deliver clear-eyed insights is exactly what we need,” McCarthy added.
