John Cena Sends Strong Message About Last Match for WWE Raw
Fans will see the end of an iconic run for John Cena in the coming weeks, with just a few appearances left on his retirement tour. That includes his final appearance and performance on a “Monday Night Raw” at New York City’s famous Madison Square Garden.
Last week, he achieved another career championship and milestone, capturing the WWE Intercontinental Championship after an impromptu match against Dominik Mysterio. Most likely, he’ll have another match on Raw at MSG, but WWE and Cena haven’t announced his opponent yet.
With Cena’s Intercontinental Championship victory, he added another career achievement, becoming a WWE grand slam champion. He’s previously won the WWE Championship, Heavyweight Championship, and the United States Championship, along with tag team titles.

Before making his final appearance on Raw in New York City, Cena shared a message on his official X account about an upcoming “iconic” performance.
“Tomorrow night on @netflix is the end of an era in WWE. Don’t miss the final episode of #WWERaw U will ever C ME perform in. No better stage than the iconic @TheGarden to chant “Let’s Go Cena” or “Cena Sucks!” he wrote in a message on X.
“Whatever it is, The Last Time is Now because after this … I can’t wrestle,” Cena shared with fans, including a winking emoji.
According to another Cena X post, his upcoming final Raw appearance at MSG will set a record of 454 appearances on “Monday Night Raw,” the most by any of its superstars in WWE history.
After he performs on this show, the schedule has one final date left for Cena’s farewell tour. He’ll officially retire after wrestling a to-be-determined opponent at “Saturday Night’s Main Event” in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, Dec. 13. As of this writing, it appears the Intercontinental Championship will be on the line, depending on how Cena’s MSG Raw goes.
Cena previously announced his “Last Time is Now Tournament” to determine who his opponent will be. On the upcoming episode of Raw, NXT star Je’Von Evans faces Gunther, and Solo Sikoa battles a mystery opponent. The two winners move on to the next round, joining four other first-round match winners: LA Knight, Jey Uso, Rusev, and Sheamus.
