Jon Gruden’s Wild Dolphins Prediction Has Fans Buzzing

Jon Gurden may not be a head coach in the NFL, but he continues to break down film in an impressive way on Barstool Sports. It also appears that he has taken a shine to the Miami Dolphins and has offered a huge prediction and wild take for the team, which has fans buzzing.

“Don’t be shocked if you wake up in a few weeks and the MIAMI DOLPHINS are in the playoff hunt!!” Gruden wrote on X, accompanied by a video where he broke down how the Dolphins will make the playoffs.

“The Miami Dolphins, who beat the Buffalo Bills ass last week. They kicked the Buffalo Bills’ ass. They’re gonna beat the Washington Commanders at home for a two-game winning streak. Then the New Orleans Saints are gonna come to town and they’re gonna win three in a row. Then they’re gonna go on the road and beat the Jets, that’s gonna be four in a row. Then they’re gonna go to Pittsburgh and they’re gonna win five in a row and get back in playoff contention. Then Mike McDaniel is gonna get a five-year extension and stick it up a lot of people asses,” Gruden said.

The Dolphins have the right kind of schedule that this prediction could be a reality, but an extension for McDaniel might be a bit far-fetched. However, owner Stephen Ross is a big believer in McDaniel, and an extension would not be the most shocking thing.

The prediction from Gruden got fans talking, and appears to have struck a ton of hope into many in the comments.

One fan said, “If Gruden has spoken it.. I’m listening. He’s always right.. I’m all eyes and ears to see what happens next for

@MiamiDolphins”

Another wrote, “This is 100% going to happen. It actually would shock me if it didn’t happen. Perfect set up to lose to the Bucs and end with a loss to the Pats to JUST miss the playoffs.”

Another said, “Miami has the Commanders Saints and Jets who all suck. Not the hottest of takes!”

The Dolphins have a soft schedule before they face the Steelers in Week 15. If they can post a 7-7 record by that time, they take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16, could win and be 8-7, which would prove this prediction for Gruden.

It is certainly possible for Miami to go on a run, but a lot has to happen for the team to not only bounce back from a 3-7 record, but for everything to align with the team getting a wild card spot in the playoffs. But as they say, “any given Sunday.”
