Jon Stewart Mocks Donald Trump Golf Tournament Wins
Jon Stewart ridiculed Donald Trump’s golfing abilities after the former president won two tournaments in one week at his Palm Beach golf club.
Since returning to The Daily Show in February after a nine-year hiatus, Stewart has repeatedly hit out at both Trump and Joe Biden, even being dubbed a “bothsidest fraud” on social media.
However, Stewart upped his mockery of Trump this week, skewering everything from his New York civil fraud trial to his recent golf wins.
Newsweek has reached out to Jon Stewart and Donald Trump for comment via email.
Stewart opened Monday night’s show with a news clip of Trump golfing at his club in Florida, before cutting to the business mogul’s recent post about the victories on Truth Social.
“It is my great honor to be at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach tonight, AWARDS NIGHT, to receive THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY & THE SENIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY. I WON BOTH!” Trump wrote ahead of the celebration on Sunday.
“A large and golfing talented membership, a GREAT and difficult course, made the play very exciting. The qualifying and match play was amazing… Very exciting, thank you!!!”
In response to the post, Stewart joked: “That’s right woke libs. You think Donald Trump is a loser? Well, would a loser brag about winning a golf tournament at his own course? I don’t think so.”
However, Stewart suggested Trump has an advantage when playing golf—his butt.
“It’s difficult for his opponents to stay focused when they spend all that time staring at that a**,” the 61-year-old said.
Stewart shared a photo of Trump swinging a club from behind, sparking laughter and cheers from the audience, before pretending to grope the image.
“A lot of times, golfers let you grab them by the a******. They love it if you’re a celebrity,” Stewart continued.
The line was a riff on the 2005 Access Hollywood tape. The infamous recording was released shortly before the 2016 general election, with Trump purportedly telling TV host Billy Bush: “When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. … Grab ’em by the p****. You can do anything.”
Stewart then claimed that Trump is one of “the few talented golfers who has a thick a** and a front butt,” presenting a photo of his golf pants, with the material creating a pouch around the crotch.
“What it does is the butt and the front butt become like a big ball,” Stewart quipped. “It helps with the center of gravity. It’s like being on a Hippity Hop.”
After congratulating the 77-year-old on winning the “Trump Cup,” Stewart moved on to the coverage of his civil fraud trial in New York.
The talk show host slammed Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary for his remarks about the charges against Trump.
During a recent interview on CNN, the Canadian investor said the judge’s decision “didn’t go over well with the investment community.”
“We’re all asking each other, who’s next?” the 69-year-old said, with Stewart describing O’Leary as “such an a******, even the other people on Shark Tank think he’s an a******.”
Stewart isn’t the only one to tease Trump about his golfing triumphs. A video of Trump golfing went viral on X, formerly Twitter, over the weekend, mocking his reaction after sinking a putt.
Biden also poked fun at his Republican rival. Resharing Trump’s Truth Social post to X on Monday, the president quipped: “Congratulations, Donald. Quite the accomplishment.”
