Kanye West Makes Bold Statement About Daughter North

“This little girl made me love music again.”
That’s how Kanye West kicked off his latest Instagram post, and it’s all thanks to his 11-year-old daughter, North West.
On Monday, January 20, the 47-year-old Yeezy founder gave fans a rare peek into his personal life and creative process, sharing how North, his eldest of four kids with ex-wife Kim Kardashian — the exes also share Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5 — inspired his return to the mixing board.

The black-and-white snap showed the preteen sitting next to a keyboard. “She asked me to make beats for her I got back on the ASR Chopped up beats for her album and chopped every beats with my bare hand for BULLY,” the rest of Kanye’s caption read.
Bully is Kanye’s highly anticipated album that he first announced last September, though he’s yet to confirm a release date. But it seems North isn’t only inspiring her dad — she’s also taking her own steps into music.
The “Jesus Walks” rapper also posted a video of “Miss Westie” (North’s stage name) standing over a keyboard, bopping her head as he encouraged a collaborator to “play it again.” He simply captioned it, “Training.”
Fans had plenty to say.
“‘My dad made all the beats’ is the heaviest flex in this case, 😍” one person wrote.
“thank you north for inspiring my goat,” another said.
“She really is your biggest fan bro,” chimed in a third.
“NORTH NOW GET HIM TO DROP THE ALBUM,” someone else demanded.
“So dope, kids bring out the best in us!!” added another.
In December 2023, North made her rap debut during a Miami listening party for Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign’s collaboration. Performing their track “Talking/Once Again,” the aspiring rapper sang, “It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie / Don’t try and test me / It’s gonna get messy.”
Meanwhile, North keeps things real at home with Kardashian, 44. While chatting with Interview Magazine last October, she joked that her mom hasn’t cooked “in a long time.” Still, North gave credit where it’s due, admitting she’s “really good at making me cucumbers and salt.”
